Volunteer With Us
We are always seeking passionate volunteers to lend a hand on the farm, to educate the community, or sponsor innovative projects! See below for ways you or your organization can get involved and play an important role in helping us achieve our mission.
Volunteer to help out on the farm
This volunteer opportunity offers a way for individuals and small groups of no more than 5 individuals, to lend a hand on our urban farm in a fun and productive way. The volunteers who work on the farm take part in a variety of activities including planting, weeding, mulching, pruning, cleaning stalls, and more. All volunteers must attend one New Volunteer Orientation on an annual basis. Volunteer orientations will occur on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month prior to the volunteer session.
Skilled volunteer opportunities
If you have a specific skill or talent such as carpentry, electrical, etc. that you would like to share, this is your opportunity to contribute on the farm. We are always looking for assistance with creating mobile shelters, benches, water catchment facilities, or other efficiencies on the farm.
Help us innovate
We are always looking for ways to innovate on the farm in the following areas: irrigation and water management, feed, solar, fencing, soil enhancements, apiary, livestock technologies, planning, equipment and more.
Please note that we operate an urban farm, which is also our family homestead and we have areas on the property where we live, grow food, and raise livestock. We developed our farm with the intention of supporting the local ecosystem/ food system and educating the community about the importance of having access to locally grown foods.
We have early morning and evening volunteer opportunities and will schedule them throughout the year based on the needs we have on the farm.
